Everworld***
A thousand years ago humans believed in the Gods of myth, in the great legends, in dragons and trolls and elves and wizards. So, what if they were right? What if all these myths were real? Well, you'd ask, "If Thor and Apollo, dragons and dwarves were all real, where are they now?" The answer is . . . Everworld. In the dark past, Zeus and Odin, Huitzilopoctli and Ra, and the other gods of myth decided to abandon the real world. They created another universe where magic rules, where all the mystery and terror of these capricious immortals holds sway. It is a place where Vikings still sail in the name of Thor, where the Aztecs still make human sacrifices to Huitzilopoctli, and where Merlin still weaves his subtle webs. For a thousand years and more Everworld has existed apart from the real world. But now Everworld is in trouble. The cozy universe created by Earth's ancient immortals has been invaded by the creatures of myths that are no part of human tradition. The gods are under attack, divided, terrified. And in this moment of supreme danger, Loki, Norse god of evil, reaches across the barrier between Everworld and the real world to seize a new power: Senna Wales. Senna carries with her four ordinary high school kids from the Midwest. David, the insecure hero and Senna's love; Christopher, the joker Senna spurned, who hides his own anger and bigotry beneath a glib veneer; Jalil, cold, calculating and so devoted to rationality he can't even acknowledge his own strange tie to Senna; and April, Senna's half-sister — actress, flirt, and Senna's most dangerous enemy.
Christopher in the books*** (FPK only, unless revealed to your muse by Christopher, or you've got an omnipotent muse)
Senna's ex-beau, Christopher is always the first to crack a joke. He provides the humor in the sometimes bleak, often strange world they are in, although it is often very sarcastic and derogatory. However, his humor has another purpose as well: to help constrain and categorize a world that is often confusing to him. Even though he is a comedian, he is by no means a happy-go-lucky person. He despises Everworld, is very distrustful of Senna, and is sick of David acting like the macho man of the group. He would like nothing more than to go home and live a normal life again. And he is willing to do it with or without the others. Christopher was a borderline alcoholic, and considers himself a worthless coward on top of that. His opinion of himself in incredibly low, and is often Senna's favorite punching bag. In the end of the books, he falls under Senna's magical command, and helps her and her army conquer Eire in the beginning of the war. He almost blows April's cover right before she kills Senna, and holds himself personally responsible for Eire's fall.
Christopher Twelve Years Gone: (Same Clause as Above)
The Christopher being played here is one from twelve years after the end of the last book. They've been fighting a war against the Sennites, and for some reason yet to be determined, he, David, and April have found themselves returned to the real world again. Christopher is a full-blown alcoholic at this point, having seen more than he could have ever wanted to see. The images of the battles haunt him and always have, so he often drinks himself to sleep, and although he realizes he's an alcoholic, he refuses to accept help for it, feels it's his penance for the things he's done. As the war's waged on, he's also become increasingly more suicidal, often throwing himself into battle with the hope that an arrow or bullet will finally hit home and put him out of his misery. He has absolutely zero self worth, no matter what cocky facade he may portray.
Christopher in Roanoke
Christopher arrived in Roanoke from the middle of a battlefield, covered in blood and toting the sword Excalibur in his hand. He'd just seen David fall in battle, and previous to that battle had lost April, Jalil and Etain as well. He believes he's the only one left because of his own cowardice and inability to save anyone. He's extremely distrusting of people, hates weapons, and wishes to just be left alone to drink himself to death.
Where He Plays
Christopher may respond to prompts from communities he's not a member of, just because he's insistent and whiney like that. |

Not Christopher Hitchcock. He's fictional. He doesn't belong to me either, He belongs to K. A. Applegate. Not Chris Evans, his PB, either, nor does he belong to me (I wish), he owns herself. This is all in good fun, and I'll put everything back just where I found them. Christopher is also a very abrasive and angry individual. He makes jokes intended to offend people, unless he really likes you or is feeling generous. This journal is chock full of language and may contain some racist/sexist/discriminatory comments. Please note that these comments are not the feelings of the typist, only of the muse, the typist apologizes to any she may offend. Click at your own risk.
